Most of these were Tabletop RPG (TTRPG) character design commissions for people playing things like D&D (Dungeons and Dragons) or Pathfinder, but some were character designs for other personal things. I love designing characters for people; it's really amazing to be able to bring peoples' character ideas to life so that they can connect with their characters in more meaningful ways.
This section contains art of characters with pre-existing designs. These pieces often are a little bit more dynamic and posed than my character design pieces, and a lot of them have environmental/scenery elements.
These paintings are usually ones that I've done as studies to hone my skills for other projects or as concept art for ideas for places or locations. Something that might stand out in my landscape paintings (all of my paintings really, but I feel like it's most noticeable with my landscapes) is my desire to really push lighting effects. Nothing hits the spot for me quite like a good ray of light with dust particles floating around...
This is stuff that otherwise has no real category; concept art that I felt like making, vent-pieces, or things that I just found interesting and evoking.
This section contains paintings and drawings of people and animals; usually portraits of loved ones, couples, or pets. Most of these were commissioned projects, but some were just for fun or to practice. I don't often take a lot of portrait commissions these days, but I really loved working on these.
You might notice that some of these portraits are more stylized than others, and that's often by choice; I try to give people the option to go with realism or with stylized looks in portrait commissions. I think that stylized portraits give me the opportunity to play around more with expressions, and sometimes they feel a bit more personal and unique as a result.
This section includes fanart for anything I'm interested in, whether it's Tabletop Roleplaying Game (TTRPG) characters from live-play Dungeons and Dragons shows, video games, movies, television, or literature. I really love Critical Role, Dimension 20, and my favorite video game is Elden Ring, so a lot of my fanart revolves around those things.
